Amy's Ant
Cheech- July 2021

T
he Amy's Ant pattern was created by Jack Dennis in the late 90's to be fished in the famous Jackson Hole one fly tournament (which it won in 1999). It checks a lot of boxes that you want a great big foam attractor to check. Durable, flash, legs, wing, etc. etc. One hack that we made on this fly is to use Coq de Leon instead of expensive dry fly hackle for the body. CDL is shinier, stiffer, and much cheaper! Tie them in lots of different colors and fish em!
