Stubby Chubby

The Stubby Chubby is an excellent small foam fly pattern that we have used over the last year with great success! Part of the success of this pattern is owed to the hook that is used to tie it. It's a kind of smaller shank, but the wide gap lends itself well to keeling the fly properly, so you shouldn't have too many mishaps with the fly landing on its side or upside down. We tie this in one of the original configurations that was released by Umpqua, but you can mix and match colors all you want with this bug!
