Jigged Olive Willy
Cheech - July 2023

The Olive Willy is one of my very favorite stillwater fly patterns, and is well known in the Pacific Northwest as a great damsel or dragonfly imitation. This is a version tied on a jig hook that can either be fished balanced style or traditional style. I use this fly a lot in the mid-summer months when there are a lot of damselflies flying around in my favorite application is with a parabolic fly line. Also, I have tried mixing up colors with this fly, but the olive one always works better than anything else! Create at your own risk!
