Flow at the top of Box Canyon is reduced to about 105 cfs.   Flow below the Buffalo River confluence improves. Best fishing in the upper river is in Box Canyon, streamer patterns in deep holes and runs remain the best way for finding action.

At Last Chance-Harriman, top water fishing is winding down for the season to just trout and whitefish responding to midge activity. Harriman State Park section closes to fishing on December 1st.

From lower Mesa Falls to Ashton Reservoir pitching streamers to encounter migrating brown trout is the best way to have action. Top water fishing there is also diminishing to just midge life cycle patterns. Flow is around 650 cfs above Chester Dam, and about 1130 cfs below it.  Very early or late in the day or during unsettled weather offers some good chances for successful streamer presentation to migrating brown trout and foraging rainbows.
