Henry's Fork
Flow at the top of Box Canyon is reduced to about 105 cfs. Best fishing in the upper river is in Box Canyon, with streamer patterns in deep holes and runs. At Last Chance-Harriman, top water fishing is down for the season to just midge activity. Harriman State Park section closes to fishing on December 1st. For the rest of the river below Mesa Falls pitching streamers remains the best way to encounter migrating brown trout. Top water fishing is also diminishing in that section. Flow is around 770 cfs above Chester Dam, and about 1130 cfs below it. Very early or late in the day or during unsettled weather offers some good chances for successful streamer presentation to migrating brown trout and foraging rainbows.
