Henry's Fork

Flow at the top of Box Canyon is reduced to about 100 cfs but varies.  The Harriman State Park section is closed to fishing.   Flow is about 790 cfs above Chester Dam, and about 1000 cfs below it.  Midge activity remains the only way for top water fishing. The area along the east side of the river just above the newly opened Fun Farm bridge is one of the best places to enjoy fish responding to it. With cooling weather, increasing chances of snow and because of worsening road conditions, the river below Ashton Reservoir is the most convenient place for any type of fly fishing.
