Henry's Fork

Henry’s Fork Foundation’s scientists predict that major aquatic insect hatches will take place as much as four weeks early! An aquatic insect Hatch Timing report is posted on Henry’s Fork Foundation’s web site.  How much ahead the hatches will occur depends on location on the river. Fishing between Ashton and Chester Dams is very good with BWO and March brown mayflies, caddisflies and midges providing responses from trout throughout the water column.  Flow below Ashton Dam is about 920 cfs and about 1120 cfs at St. Anthony. Flow in this section has been almost constant for weeks. There are also plenty of wading and boating anglers present.
