Flow through Box Canyon is reduced to about 425 cfs.  From Ashton Dam to Chester Dam, Mother's Day Caddis are coming out in huge numbers with some Skwalas scattered in the mix. Below Chester Dam the Fall River inflow of cold, discolored water compromises the good fishing above the dam. Lately fishing from Ashton Dam down to Chester Dam remains the best in the area on wind-free days. Be sure to have caddis fly life cycle patterns in that fly box if you visit here to fish.
