Henry's Fork

Flow through Box Canyon is about  780 cfs. No significant change in fishing conditions and none are likely until weather cools. Some turbidity in the upper river results from algae bloom  and breakup in the reservoir above. River in Last Chance-Harriman reach has very technical daytime fishing. Plenty of weeds makes indicator fishing a good choice.  Be sure to have ant, beetle and hopper patterns in that fly box.

Below Warm River confluence, river is tough fishing all the way to Chester Dam. 14000 cfs is flow below Ashton Dam. There are early AM spinner falls, and good caddis activity during evenings. Very early or late in the day offers some improvement in the daytime conditions throughout the river. Consider giving trout a break and do your fishing away from hot mid days. Enjoy early AM spinner falls and evening caddis emergence. These conditions are unlikely to change much until September.
