Henry's Fork
Flow through Box Canyon is about 650 cfs. Hopper/bead head nymph dropper rigs work well as does slow drifted streamer patterns during low light conditions. It is terrestrial insect pattern season on the Last Chance-Harriman section of the river. There are a few trico spinners in the AM. Hopper, honey ant, and beetle patterns presented close to banks with long drag free floats work best. There is much weedy water in the Harriman section. During daytime a well drifted hopper pattern could fool a fish or two. River from Warm River to Ashton Reservoir is warm. Fishing has slowed. River below Ashton Dam is flowing around 1500 cfs and warm to a dangerous level for salmonids after exertion such as a catch and release battle.
