Henry's Lake
Unsettled weather has been going on recently, but lake water is warming with 50 deg. F. temperatures common. This means fish are moving to deeper, cooler water, but are still numerous in shallow water. Shoreline fishing still produces with fly patterns from woolly bugger types to scud and midge life cycle patterns being effective. Boat fishing can be dangerous when winds pick up, therefore it is wise to watch the weather, use life jackets, and be ready to make for shore on a moment’s notice. Undeveloped roads are drying out. The State Park is open for camping for which a fee is charged. The Bill Frome County park is also open but has no potable water.
