Henry's Lake
Cannot say much negative about opening weekend fishing on Henry’s Lake. It was generally good fishing and nice weather. South side of the lake seems to have produced best fishing (State Park and cliffs area), with some good reports for fishing shoreline around the hatchery and west end. Several large trout taken. Some best patterns were olive or gold crystals, and various wooly buggers (remember; dragon flies are hatching). Midge hatch has yet to peak. Fish should remain in shallow waters for a while. Then as the lake warms move out to deeper water. Some will return to shallows to forage when weed growth gets going.
