Madison River
Currently the Madison River offers some of the best fishing in the region. Giant and golden stoneflies are active from the wade and bank fishing only area upstream to Quake Lake and on to Hebgen Lake. PMD life cycle patterns produce and a few drakes remain. Evening caddis hatches are dense enough to attract trout and streamer patterns presented during low light conditions work well for encountering large trout.
