Main Stem Snake River

Rainbow trout spawning is ongoing throughout the river. With low clear waters present it is easy to spot spawning areas. Please avoid them to minimize interruptions. Streamer, balance leech, and wooly bugger patterns presented on sink tip lines are the best ways for action on the river. Midge activity is ongoing up and down the river, and their life cycle patterns produce action during wind free times.  Flow below American Falls dam is about 275 cfs.
