Mainstem Snake River

Rainbow trout spawning is ongoing throughout the river. With low clear waters present it is easy to spot spawning areas. Please avoid them to minimize damage. With warm weather coming low land run-off could impact river flow with discolored water. So watch the several USGS flow gages along the river to see if run-off is happening. Currently streamer, balance leech, and wooly bugger patterns presented on sink tip lines are the best ways for action on the river. Flow below American Falls dam is about 275 cfs.
