Mainstem Snake River

Report on fish population by species below American Falls Dam is now available. The IDF&G  conducted a survey on the river between Oregon Trail and Pipeline boat launch points in March. Rainbow Trout are dominant with some brown and cutthroat trout, a few bass, whitefish, and yellow perch. Flow below American Falls dam is up to 2250 cfs because the irrigation season has begun.  Easy wading is finished for several months.
