Small Streams
Three rivers are at the peak of their fly fishing game. The Teton River offers great top water fishing because of big stone flies coming up with the canyon breezes, PMDs and evening caddis. Even early terrestrial insects with hoppers, beetles and ants are out during sun lit afternoons.
The Blackfoot River in the Wildlife Management Area above the reservoir has afternoon caddis and a good amount of hoppers. Here are seven miles of meadow stream that offers great fishing, rare solitude and tranquility.
Warm River above the cascades offers beautiful pocket water and some deep holes. Some PMDs remain, but afternoon caddis, some hoppers and ants early in the season make afternoon fishing a good destination.
