Small Streams
Teton River is offering good fishing just about everywhere. Flow in the basin is about 500 cfs and dropping. The canyon hosts emerging giant and golden stoneflies. Windblown ones are flying into the river above providing trout a big piece of food compared to the emerging PMDs and caddis. Streamers work in deeper water during low light conditions.
The Blackfoot River above the reservoir, not a good mayfly host, features a heavy caddis hatch with some yellow sallies, and very few PMDs. This part of the river really comes alive when terrestrial insects are abundant.
