Small Streams

Teton River is running very warm in the lower section and canyon. Its South Fork is in fair shape in water temperature, and the North Fork has no flow. Bitch Creek has the best fishing in the entire drainage if you consider tranquility, and solitude along with fishing. Early AM and evenings are best times to fish the river in the basin. Robinson Creek is down to base level with warm water in canyon reaches. Warm River just below the springs is where caddis and PMDs prevail with terrestrial insects coming on. 

Water in the Blackfoot River is extremely warm and low.  Palisades Creek is fishing well, but is becoming crowded as anglers move in from streams with warm, low waters. Medicine Lodge Creek and Little Lost River have low water conditions.  Big Elk Creek has improving fishing with terrestrial insect patterns producing and western green drake activity coming soon.  Fall River is very low and warm because of irrigation draw down. Evening caddis activity brings on some top water fishing.
