 We are in the “winter maintenance flow” regime below Palisades Dam, so there will be no significant changes in flow for months to come. Streamer fishing is by far the best way to fish the river.  Brown trout are migrating and are particularly aggressive, so presenting these patterns around overhead cover, late in the day, or during unsettled weather is the best way to attract them.  Be aware that Federal Agencies will soon limit motorized access to parts of the river that reach land vital for wintering big game.
