Flow out of Palisades Dam remains at about 9000 cfs at Irwin ( about 8600 cfs at Heise, 5900 cfs at Lorenzo). Palisades Reservoir is about three-quarters full. Remember that Bureau of Land Management and the National Forest Service will not open the River Road above the Table Rock and River Roads junction to motorized traffic until around the middle of May this year because of habitat conditions. Marginal top water fishing conditions continue, but seem to improve a bit when trying waters further downstream. Slower waters and riffles are best locations to try with traditional nymph patterns. Rubber leg, woolly bugger, and streamer patterns continue to produce in deeper waters and around overhead cover.
