South Fork
Flow out of Palisades Dam has been raised to around 11200 cfs, about 11500 cfs Heise, and 5250 cfs at Lorenzo. Wading remains dangerous on the river because of high flowing irrigation water. Boating is the safest and most effective way to fish. Fish woolly bugger, San Juan worm, rubber leg, and streamer patterns deep throughout the river. Good dry fly conditions are soon to come with big stoneflies beginning to move toward banks and PMDs making scattered showings. Currently inflow to Palisades Reservoir (about two-thirds full) exceeds outflow.
