South Fork
Flow out of Palisades Dam has been almost flat at about 11700 cfs for several days. The same with downstream gages (about 11700 cfs, at Heise, 4160 cfs at Lorenzo). In the lower river where diversions have dropped water enough to warm some, PMDs are showing. So are caddis. Remember when the big stone fly hatch gets going, it will skip up the river like a thrown stone and not be continuous like the Henry’ Fork’s or Madison River’s. Slower, deep waters are best locations to try rubber leg and streamer patterns continue. Be careful wading in this strong, really cold water.
