South Fork
Flow out of Palisades Dam has dropped slightly to 11,400 cfs. However the input of cool water from reservoir depths provides ideal water for salmonid living conditions. The entire river offers excellent dry fly fishing. Getting out early has provided good success while fishing the Mutant Stone hatch. PMDs in riffles, hopper/dropper rigs any time and caddis during PM hours bring action. Slower, deep waters are best locations to try rubber leg and streamer patterns continue especially around overhead cover and low light conditions. Be careful wading!
