Still Waters

Surface water heats enough during daytime to make early and late in the day the best time to fly fish irrigation reservoirs. During those times suspend midge pupa and damselfly nymph patterns under and indicator.  Apply gentle twitches to these around shallow weed beds and switching to slowly retrieved leech and woolly bugger patterns on sinking lines along drop-offs and deeper water can produce results. When windy conditions happen make sure that life preserver is on!
