Still Waters
If you can troll large colorful streamer patterns deep, you have a good chance of catching kokanee up to around 16 inches in length. Early in the day seems the best time to use this strategy. Midge pupa patterns are working well on all our still waters. Find the taking depth, after they are suspended under an indicator, and head for shallow waters where aquatic vegetation is increasing. Do not overlook damsel fly nymph patterns. They, too, are effective near vegetation this time of the season.
