Still Waters

Our irrigation reservoirs are quickly being drawn down, so now is the time to visit them for good fishing. Daniels Reservoir has a draw down limit so should remain good fishing longer than the others.     Midge pupa patterns work well early in the day on all these waters when wind is absent. Suspend these  or damselfly nymphs under an indicator, head for shallow waters where aquatic vegetation is increasing, and find the taking depth.  When windy conditions (make sure that life preserver is on!) prevail, switch to sink tip or full sink lines to present leech and woolly bugger patterns deep with a slow retrieve.
