Still Waters

IDF&G has stocked Chesterfield Reservoir and other irrigation reservoirs with thousands of hatchery rainbow trout this season. They mainly head for cooler water, but during early AM hours they move to shallow waters to feed on aquatic insects (use speckled dun life cycle patterns, scud and leech patterns), but as the sun rises and minimizes overhead cover and warms the shallows, they move back to cool deep water. Thus adjust you fishing strategy accordingly.
