Yellowstone National Park
The Park has temporarily closed fishing to complete ongoing studies on part of the Firehole River because of the May 4th bear attacks. Exact closure locations can be seen on the Park web site. The springtime rainbow trout run from Hebgen Lake into the Madison River is ongoing making streamer and wooly bugger patterns effective. The Firehole, Gibbon and Madison rivers opened to fishing on May 1st. Cougar, Duck and Grayling Creeks will open to fishing on Memorial Day weekend. Park fishing licenses are available through the Park web site, and visitor and ranger station offices within.
