Yellowstone National Park

The Park has temporarily closed fishing on part of the Firehole River because of bear attacks. Exact closure locations can be seen on the Park web site. The springtime rainbow trout run from Hebgen Lake into the Madison River is ongoing making streamer and wooly bugger patterns effective. Cougar, Duck and Grayling Creeks, also in the drainage, remain closed until Memorial Day weekend.  Park fishing licenses are available through the park web site, and visitor and ranger station offices within.
