Yellowstone Park

The Firehole River sill produces great top water fishing through using BWO life cycle, white miller caddis, and soft hackle patterns.  Beware of changes in the weather because snow and slick roads are possible any time.   The big draw to fishing in the Park are the brown trout runs in the Lewis River drainage and the brown and rainbow trout migration into the Madison River. Using big streamer patterns is the name of the game. Numbers of fish involved will increase through October, but the peak comes after the Park fishing season closes the first weekend of November.
