Hot Head Diawl Bach
Cheech- July 2021

T
he Diawl Bach is a fly with a funny name that is probably missing in your stillwater box (if you live in the US). This little bug is a stillwater killer due to how versatile it is, and how easy it is to tie. It can be a chironomid, callibaetis, snail, leech, etc. Long story short, you NEED some of these in your stillwater box! We commonly fish this fly on a midge tip fly line, but it works with whatever rig you like to throw on the lake.
