Ice Dub is a great dubbing with awesome movement and a subtle, yet attractive, flash added. This is one of our favorite dubbings. The UV Black color is what we use in the popular Chimera Fly Pattern. We're pretty sure the secret to its success is this specific dubbing.
Veevus Holographic Tinsel. We use this stuff all the time. It's super strong, won't lose color when it's stretched and adds some serious flash to your fly patterns. It's great for bodies as well as wing cases and backs.
Thin Skin is a .004″ thick, stretchable and transparent sheet material that has a matte finish on one side and a shiny finish on the other. It is backed with a paper backing which makes it easy to cut into strips of all sizes. When the paper is removed, the transparent sheet can easily be tied onto the fly.The printed patterns on our Thin Skin can create an extremely realistic and/or dramatic look to the fly. Because Thin Skin stretches and compresses when thread or wire is wrapped around it, it is an ideal material to use for shellbacks on flies such as scuds or sowbugs or for wing cases on nymphs of all types. Many bass and saltwater fly tyers often use it to tie segmented crayfish and shrimp patterns.
Fluorescing Loon UV Clear Fly Finish. Similar to Flow but some sweet fluorescing action to boot. Very thin UV resin that can easily, and tack-free, coat heads, casings and bodies on flies. It goes on as thin as head cement and cures with no tack and has a very hard and shiny surface. 1/2 oz bottle.
Countersunk Tungsten Beads are ideal for use on any river or stillwater patterns, adding extra weight allowing your favorite flies to sink quicker than ever before. Perfect for curved or straight hook flies. Available in a range of colors from 2mm - 3.8mm in size.
Using similar techniques as with Nano Silk we extruded thin Polyester strands which were then slightly twisted and had a light amount of wax added to them. The amount of wax added has been specifically applied after consultations with top Professional Fly Tyers.
With the lightly twisted strands this allows the thread to both lay flat and split easier than other threads on the market. Having reviewed the market offerings we also added 8/0 to the range and included fluorescent colors along with the traditional colors desired.
