Box came opened and rod/fly were missing, waiting to hear back from you guys for what the next steps of the process are
Caught a 15"-16" brown trout from under a rock, and the rod had enough power to bring him out to the net. Rod recovers very fast, but also has a soft tip.
The rod had a surprisingly strong backbone and is sensitive.
You can feel the fly bumping the bottom and can feel the bites before you see them on your line in certain instances.
Diamondback Ideal Nymph Fly Rod
Love it! Great product for the price.
I own several nice rods and I enjoy fishing all of them. The Diamondback Ideal Nymph Fly Rod performs up to snuff with my more expensive rods. I could not be more pleased. This is the first euro nymph rod in my quiver. I purchased the 10’ 2 weight. Since purchasing the rod I have fished it twice using a euro leader and euro fly line set-up. This rod does not disappoint. It casts well, and does a great job handling and controlling fish while protecting 5x tippet (I have not yet fished it using tippet smaller than 5x). I have caught fish from about 8 inches to about 16-17 inches and it performs well along that continuum. I anticipate that it will perform capably on larger fish as well. I look forward to many years of use from this fine rod.
