The Red Back Baetis was designed after returning home from the world fly fishing championship in the Czech Republic. It was designed to imitate baetis nymphs with precision, capturing the subtle size and profile. The red accent of the back was carefully chosen to provide just enough visual trigger to entice a strike without spooking wary trout, especially in clear pressured water. The slim realistic profile and colors, it is versatile in the water performing well on indicator rigs, as a dropper, or European nymphing setups across a wide range of rivers in clear and pressured water.
