Good hook for selected patterns, but can be really overpriced!

I used to be a active fly fisherman now, at 70 years old I mostly panfish, through the ice. I know , sounds crazy, but as my father always said "it's easier to stay warm and dry, than wet, sticky, and uncomfortable." That said all of your micro fly tying videos are perfect for me and I am learning alot. Thank you all so much.

When I first started out fly tying I, like most amateurs, went the economic rout & purchased the cheaper hooks. I fast learned that that was a big mistake, as the hooks either bent or broke soon after use &, some even bent in the vice as I was trying to tie the fly. Talk about a waste of money! NEVER again! I decided to restock all of my hook variants & when it came to finding a new hook for tying Shrimp & Caddis Pupas, I searched around & made inquiries until I decided on the TMC 2457. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made when it comes to fly tying as this hook has barbless cousin, the TMC 2487. I have yet to have a customer come back & tell me that one of the flies I tied them using the TMC 2457 broke. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good durable hook for Shrimp & Caddis Pupa!
